Hunters Moon is an ideal base for touring Devon and Cornwall being centrally located and within easy reach of the A30, also to escape from the 'rat-race' relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our lovely Devon countryside.
Approximately 20 miles Northwards is the rugged Cornish and North Devon Atlantic coastline with it's stark cliffs and beautiful sandy beaches.
To the South lies Plymouth with it's Naval Dockyard, Dartmouth, Torquay, Looe and Polperro and the more placid English Channel.
The lovely ancient stannary town of Tavistock with it's mediaeval Abbey is only a short drive away and has a daily Pannier Market and fortnightly Farmers Market. Tavistock and the surrounding countryside is now a World Heritage Site.
Beauty spots such as Lynmouth, Westward Ho!, Clovelly, Bude. Boscastle and Tintagel are all within comfortable reach.
Within 1 hour's drive or less are the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Garden House, RHS Rosemore, Paignton Zoo, Plymouth Aquarium, Morwellham Quay and many National Trust properties and gardens including Cotehele, Saltram, Lydford Gorge, Lanhydrock and Castle Drogo.
The surrounding area offers ample golfing, horse riding, canoeing, sailing, fishing, cycling and walking facilities plus much more. Also the ancient ruins of Lydford and Okehampton Castles. And not forgetting Dartmoor with it's breathtaking scenery and of course the famous Dartmoor ponies.
